THE COMMUNITY SCHEME
The Football in the Community Scheme offers a wide range of Coaching and activities throughout the year. Whether it be during school hours, after school or in the holidays, we have something for you.
Gold Coast Soccer have a highly qualified team of experienced personnel – all with basic first aid and injury training and all having undergone `Working with Children Checks` as per Federal and State Goverment regulations.
Now in its fifth (7th) year of operation the scheme has forged a closer link with the people of the Gold Coast through the adults and children in the community via:
* School visits and sessional user pay coaching clinics and extra curricular activities. Gold Coast Soccer is an approved Active Australia provider.
* Club visits.
* Promotional activities/assistance with fundraising.
* Holiday Camps and Clinics for social and serious participant.
* Specialised individual or team coaching.
* Access to Professional `Academy` coaches.
Government funding is available for programs such as After School/Coach Education as well as grants for equipment or capital works. Information can be found at www.sportrec.qld.gov.au or www.ausport.gov.au/aasc/index.asp .
The aim of the Community Scheme is to involve as many people as possible in Football activities.
