📣 AGM 2025 UPDATE - The AGM was conducted on 21 April 202Further to the notices for the AGM posted on 18 March and 2 April, and the update provided on April 15 two new completed nominations were received for General Committee members. Neither nominee has been a member at the club for the required minimum period of 12 months and therefore their nominations were accepted as ‘provisional’ general committee members with non-voting rights until their 12 months is served. Thank you to Arnon Yahav and Dave Turnbull for joining the management committee. As advised in previous posts and specifically the post dated April 15, to ensure the stability of the club going forward Paul Rushton withdrew his resignation from the President position prior to the deadline and has therefore agreed to continue as President temporarily until a new succession plan is established by the management committee. Should anyone be interested in taking on the role of President please contact Paul or another committee member to discuss further. The committee is currently moving toward hiring a full-time General Manager or Operations Coordinator and will provide an update in due course.*** We are also still seeking anyone interested in performing the following roles who may not necessarily want to be a committee member. Orientation and support will be provided. The introduction of a full-time GM/OC does not necessarily cover these roles. - Uniform Coordinator (1 person potentially interested in sharing) - Member Protection Integrity Officer - Blue Card Officer - Referee Coordinator - Child Safety Officer - Men’s Director - Sponsorship Manager - Clubhouse Duty Officer (to be an official on match days) for more details regarding this role: m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1265453135792069&id=100069821838714Please message Paul on 0411103328 or contact one of the other committee members to discuss the role. ... 📣 CODE OF CONDUCT & ZERO TOLERANCE After the Easter break we ask all of our members (Players, Parents, Spectators, and Officials) to re-familiarise themselves with the Code of Conduct and to understand that the club now has a ZERO TOLERANCE approach in place for any breaches of the Code. With a shortage of referees and coaches across the game your actions can go a long way toward ensuring both refereeing and coaching is a positive experience so that new referees and coaches become experienced referees and coaches, and experienced officials stay in the game. ⭐️Robina City FC Code of Conduct⭐️(incorporating elements of the FA Spectator Code of Conduct). Parents, Officials and Players are expected to model the behaviour that they expect children to follow, and to behave in accordance with our club’s key values of respect, teamwork, fair play and community. It is essential that you play your part and follow this Code of Behaviour always.1. Conduct yourself in a manner that enhances rather than injures the reputation and goodwill of the club and football.2. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, race, colour, religion, language, politics, national or ethnic origin and avoid any form of violence, abuse, offensive language, discrimination or harassment.3. Be respectful toward match officials, club officials and volunteers, and members of our club and other clubs at all times and to teach children to do the same. This includes not approaching a referee directly at any stage, and not videoing them during matches. 4. Raise any issues with the coaching or management of a team in an appropriate manner, with the relevant person directly, at a mutually convenient time. This does not include immediately after a match, unless this was agreed prior to the game, and does not include messages on team chats. Aggressive or derogatory communication toward team or club officials is not acceptable at any stage.5. Let the coach do the coaching during games, and avoid giving coaching direction. Encouragement of the players and fair play is strongly encouraged however. (Please note results are less important in our younger age groups. Coaches are encouraged to support a proactive passing style of football. As a parent, please do not encourage players to kick a long ball without a purpose just to get "rid of it" while under pressure. Kids are encouraged to learn how to play under pressure even if it will cost goals)6. As football is a team sport there is an expectation that you will attend scheduled trainings and games and be ready at the start time, and if you are unable to attend or will be late the coach or manager should be advised at your earliest convenience. Any absences for matches should be advised at your first convenience.7. Ensure one parent per child attends every training session and games for Under 6s to 12s and your child is escorted to and from training. Should you be unable to attend please liaise with another adult/parent to take responsibility for your child, and ensure they have your contact number. The coach cannot take responsibility for your child as their primary role is to coach football with the team as a whole.8. Look out for other children, be careful where you drop off your child, and park in a place that does not impede other cars entering and leaving the car park.9. Report any issues of potential risk or danger to a child to a team official, or directly to the club Child Safety officer. 10. Respect the facilities, home and away, and comply with any terms of entry of a venue.11. Follow the direction of Ground Officials when directed to avoid certain areas of the field or grounds.12. Do not enter the field of play or its surrounds without lawful authority. This includes areas sectioned off for officials such as the middle of Fields 3A and 3B, and the middle area for Fields 5-8.I understand that I have a responsibility to abide by this Code of Conduct and accept that if I breach elements of this Code, sanctions may be imposed. Can we also ask the following to ensure the smooth functioning of the club:• Stay up to date with club information. The primary method of communication from the Club is the Club Facebook. (NB It is not the responsibility of team officials to keep you updated about club matters or events, other than team photos and presentation days).• Volunteer to help the team and the club, and support the canteen, so we can keep fees as low as possible. ...
