⚽️ A message from our Junior Technical Director

Damien (Damo) Lonergan here, the Technical Director for Juniors. As the club hasn’t had a Junior TD since 2016 I wanted to clarify what a TD is and what I hope to achieve. My role is to manage and oversee all player and coaching development for our under 6 to 16s including grading and selections, and coaching across the season. My goal is to help all of our coaches embrace our club coaching curriculum which is heavily based on the FFA curriculum; as well as implement the club philosophy and playing style across the entire junior structure to achieve maximum player growth and coach education. I am loving our Robina community and the engagement with coaches, players and parents.

I am present on club scheduled training days for any queries. Otherwise I can be contacted through td@robinasoccer.com or 0499 982 129.

⚽️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION for all parents for Under 6s-18s

- Jerseys and shorts will be handed to coaches to hand out once all teams are finalised and closer to when the season starts.

- All notifications from the club are via Facebook (unless advised on Facebook that a text or email will be sent.) Please check it regularly for updates.

- Please bring your Q Grant vouchers into the clubhouse at your earliest convenience.

- Child safety is paramount. For players in under 6-12s please do not drop your child in the carpark. Ensure they get to their training area and coach, and stay for the session or ask another parent to watch your child. If you are running late to pick up please arrange them to wait in the clubhouse.

- We are always looking for volunteers to help. If you are interested in being a committee member or helping on game days please message Janine on ‭0416 301 651‬.

Please remember the club is run by volunteers and is not a profit business with employees. Over 600 players and 50+ teams is a huge task when organising coaches and players; and responding to messages. Please be patient, and accept that mistakes and delays do happen with volunteers and that a lot of people are giving their time freely. Please talk to volunteers with respect. We respond to questions and concerns as quick as we can. There is a committee member at the clubhouse every night.
